When Olivia came to meet me at my London studio with a length of beautiful, antique French linen to make into a wedding dress, I knew it was a project I was going to really enjoy.

She had definite ideas of how she wanted the dress to look. Close fitting bodice with sleeves and turned back cuffs, nipped in waist and a full swinging skirt with net petticoats and hoops.

Combining this with vintage buttons, antique silk sash and corsage from Olivia’s collection, together we created her perfect dress.

This feather trimmed Couture dress “Osprey” flew to America with Cosmo Bride for this photoshoot in the Aug/Sept issue. The feature is called “Come Fly With Me”. The ostrich feather sleeves worked perfectly with the aviation theme.

At her Southwest studio in Topsham, the ancient port of Exeter in Devon, clients can browse Sarah Treble’s couture range of bridal and eveningwear. Sarah will personally assist in the selection of a wedding dress or ballgown. The design will then be hand made to measure.
